American Bladesmith Society 2013 Knife Exposition
Dear Collectors and Knife Enthusiasts,
We would like to invite you to attend the 2013 American Bladesmith Society All-Forged Knife Exposition in beautiful downtown San Antonio, home of the Alamo. This event will take place January 25-26 at the historic Sheraton Gunter Hotel. The format will differ some from last year. Friday morning will consist of seminars and demos for both makers and collectors. More details about the seminars can be found at the show website
www.absknifeexpo.com. The Expo will open on Friday at 1 pm with a one hour preview of knives. This one hour time period gives attendees time to see all of the knives that are available for sale. Once the preview time expires, all knives will be available for open sale. The evening will end with a fine banquet for the makers and collectors alike. On Saturday the show opens at 10 am and all remaining knives will be available for purchase through the end of the Expo Saturday. Again, this year will be the give-away of two $500 Visa gift cards. If you purchase a knife you are eligible to put in the drawing. One of the drawings will be at the banquet Friday night and the other one will be given away at the show Saturday.The room rate at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel is $139 this year for a single or double. Please make your reservations by January 11th at 888-999-2089, or call the hotel directly at 210-227-3241. Be sure to ask for the American Bladesmith Society Expo special rate or mention "Bladesmith". There is parking across the street from the hotel for $8 a day. The hotel is offering valet parking for hotel guests (under the ABS room block) for $22 per day plus tax, with in and out privileges. Local attendees which are not overnight hotel guests can valet park at the hotel for $18 a day plus tax, with no in and out privileges.

Expo Banquet and Auction will be held at 7 pm with a meet and greet starting at 6:30 pm. The menu will be a BBQ Buffet with all the trimmings. Cost of banquet tickets is $50 and they can be purchased on the Expo website or by using the VIP Registration form enclosed. Your banquet tickets will be in your VIP packet and waiting for you at the registration booth.Make plans to enjoy your passion for knives while visiting historic San Antonio.
